Neon Spring

“Neon Spring” is an acrylic painting on canvas. The piece expresses the relief and excitement of finally seeing new plant life in Spring after a long, grey Winter. The neon paints colors and metallic, sponged-on details layered over the heavy, black brush lines of the focal tree’s trunk symbolize the explosion of vibrancy that comes along with springtime, enveloping the rigid, neutral-colored structure beneath.
